Looking for an old iris.

Anyone out there have a tall bearded plicata iris named "Dancing Tiger"? If you do then I sure would like to buy some from you.

Mike (Garden-of-MU) Is our resident historic iris guru. I've sent a link for this thread to him.

Dancing Tiger (Schreiner's, 1953) is probably lost. There's no listing of it in either the HIPS commercial source directory nor in the database of member gardens. Is it this specific iris that you want or something in the same color pattern?

Mike I was doing some of my photos from there and remember seeing that name, no blooms but a tag. How about contacting them direct, Bill? That is one trip we take on a yearly based just to see their gardens in OR.

Schreiner's doesn't sell historics - not even their own. I'd be surprised to find anything pre-70's in their catalog. Though they do keep all the DM winners from 1930 to present, but they don't sell them.

Im going to try and contact Canadian iris society members (Im a past member) and see if someone there might have it. Heres an internet picture I found.
