Mike (Garden of MU) is our resident expert on the historic irises. He should be checking in soon!

They are all lovely, but I don't recognize any of them. I love the color on the brown one - do you have any side shots of it fully open?

Hey Mike, aren't 4 & 27 historical ones, Quaker Lady and Amas? I would say 26 is Merlot & 2 appears to be Local Color? Just my guess but NOIDs works for me.

Karma- They are historic, but #4 is definitely not Quaker Lady. Way to big and colorful to be her. #27 might be Amas, but it is too difficult to tell with those old, old purples. they all look so similar and there's a thousand of them floating around.

Thanks Mike for your input, I didn't mean to put you on the spot but you know more about then than anyone here!
I have the I. Amas and it really depends on the soil conditions as to the color they turn. I have one clump that is pale blue and just feet away there is a clump that is deeper blues. They all came from the same clump.

Love the red. I'm up to 11 red noids with no names. I have another dozen named red varieties in the garden and not one matches any of them. They are all beautiful.

To be quite truthful, if you have miss place a tag or don't know for sure what the name is, NOID is what it should be called. We learned in the Brugmansia World without proper DNA, one shouldn't guess or put a name to something by the looks or pictures. this is how the names can be messed up and flower miss ID happens.
