Our first dutch iris opened today!

Okay Chris, I tried and screwed up.

No wonder we are all confused.
What you call Dutc Iris we call spring Iris or iris reticula
What we call Dutch iris are big summer blooming iris

Love the plant world, it is just as confusing as the rest of it :eek: :lol: :hmm:

Hi Karma,

There were two problems. First, you had a space before and after the url. Then you had "disable BBCode" checked off in the options. I fixed it now, as I'm sure you can see :)

thy, I have heard them called that but I'm going by what the package was labeled from the local nursery. We all know they can't label them wrong?
This is the earliest we have seen them blooming here. Back to freezing this am and a possible snow flurries in the next 48 hours.

Lovely color, here they can handle snow and some frost if unfurled, through there are limits :D
