First Bearded Iris for 2014

Opened today, sorry no photo........I tried and failed to post so I have dumped all of Aprils photos so far at PB. Here is the
one of the iris. They say next week we should be in the 80s!!

It is great to see some signs of spring, even if it is in other parts of the country. We are still a few weeks away from seeing the dwarf iris here.

Thank you Chris for putting her here. I can't believe how early these are this year. Usually Mother's Day is the start of prime iris time here.
We are seeing the dwarf iris bloom with these at the same time? Even the hosta are early and I fear hail damage like we have had the last
couple years, weather is so unstable out here. But again they say 80s sometime next week??

Gosh, that is pretty! Sure hope ours do as well. Actually, I am grateful they even came up after the extreme cold we had this winter. They do not appear to be any the worse for wear, although that cold snap we had last week nipped them a bit. We shall see…….

Glo, wishing everyone the best that had to deal with that nasty winter back east. We had 20 minutes of pea size hail on Sunday and
I just had visions of shredded flowers but it all looks okay.
