Preserving herbs

Post by LisaO »

This is my first year that I am going to try and save herbs to use throughout the winter, what is the best way of preserving herbs??

Right now I am trying the sun dry method...no idea if it is going to work or what the flavour will be, but it seemed the easiest.

What are other methods that I should try.

TIA

I just heard on a cooking show the other day that some of them can be frozen in little ice cubes. Then you just throw them into a soup pot to thaw and season the soup. Never did that myself, so have no idea how that compares with drying them.
