All Gone . . .

Post by JaneG »

The tomatoes, the peppers, the squash, the cucumbers . . . . . we had several good frosts for several nights the past week or so, and the garden is finished.

Before the worst of the freezes I brought the butternut squash into the garage and have enough to last till Christmas. Also saved a few green tomatoes to ripen in a cool dark closet. Not as good a sun-ripened, but better than store-bought.

Now I have to go rake off the dead vines and put the garden to bed till next spring.

Is yours done too??

Oh yeah, we're done here. I pulled tomato plants up couple weeks ago. Have been letting them ripen in garage so have enough for about 2 more weeks.
