Finished planting my veggie garden today

Post by Midnight Reiter Too »

Ha! Ha! I planted four Better Boy tomato plants back there with the Better Belle green pepper. That's my veggie garden along with a row of chives. I can't grow cukes or squash because the deer always eat the blossoms.

I got mine in over the holiday weekend too. Peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, and squash to keep over winter . . . acorn, spaghetti, and butternut. So far the deer haven't eaten our squash blossoms. But I use a deterrent spray on the tomatoes and peppers because the deer and the rabbits enjoy those.

We also tilled up a new patch of ground because DH desperately wants to grow sweet corn, so there are six rows of sweet corn in the ground, and probably a second planting in a couple weeks.

I hope yours does well!

THEY DO??? But they haven't bothered mine up to this point. Maybe the chives scared them off.
