Travis is gonna die!

Post by Annie »

Cause I'm gonna kill him
So I put in a new pond. Fenced it all over again, put fencing inside the deck railing, cause he can still get through. Then he found out if he jumped into a big wood flower box he could get over the deck. So I put chicken wire around it. Well he discovered the wire bends really easy, so he just jumped onto it and smashed it!
Ok so I stuck some lawn chairs folded up around it.

Now I have no idea how he is still getting into it, but the signs are all around the pond that he is.

First sign, plants are knocked over in pond

Second sign, things are gettin knocked off the pond edging

Third sign, flowers are getting trampled

And the last sign and the most telling sign is when Travis comes into the house he is wet!

So do ya all think it might be Travis who is getting into the pond area????

So now I have to figure out how to keep his butt from getting in there, but first I have to figure out HOW is getting in there LOL!

 Oh, Travis!

I think Travis is related to my bad girl, Chewy. If there's a way to get into trouble, she'll find it (in between naps and mealtime).

 Well she can come over to play, or maybe Travis can come to your house and play

I'm just happy Travis can't produce pups, could you imagine the babies between these two   They would be in all sorts of trouble!

Chewy is just to cute!!

Don't ya just love how sweet and cute they are until your back is turned?

If it weren't for Travis being all wet, I'd suspect a raccoon. That sounds like the kind of thing they do to ponds. Hey, give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he's chasing the raccoon out!

 I would love to blame a racoon, but I know Travis!
At least I have to give him credit, he is a smart lil sapsucker!

He loves the water, except baths. I'm 99.9999999% sure it's him :D

  I don't know what to tell you Annie. Alex and I spent 7 hours one Sunday last year repairing, replacing, and adding fencing to the ravine so we'd have a place to put Hugo where he could run but I wouldn't have to constantly watch him. We got done, put him in the ravine, went up on the patio and were high-fiving each other over a job well done......when Hugo came bounding over to join in the fun!

If the boys want to get out.....they'll get out!

They all have such innocent faces, don't they? "Wha, who me?" No advice here, but I sure do sympathize.

The only thing that has ever worked to keep our Boxers in the yard, and out of places they should not be is electric fence. One hit on that, and they stay far far away, and you can turn it off after about a week, and as long as the wire is there, they won't get near it.

As speaking as Travis' lawyer you have no proof that it was my client.

Do U have any evidence other than him being wet?

My client has a problem with his sweat glands and always perspires a lot when outside in the summer......

Do u have pictures of him doing this damage?

I think not!

My client is INNOCENT until proven guilty!

  @ Debbie!
The electric fence would be a good idea. Of course Travis will probably be doing swan dives off the deck rail by summers end.

   Thanks for all the sympathy LOL.

I don't know about electric fences. We had the fence years ago and i've seen many a cat and dog crawl under it. They knew enough that if they didn't back up where it went under their hair they wouldn't feel it LOL.

Thats why I keep the chairs folded up when we aren't using them, because i'm afraid Travis will but up on the railing.

Tundra_Queen,
well he does have a record of being in the pond :D

Exhibit 1....... Please refer to this post.

And a record of digging.

Exhibit 2.....And this post.
viewtopic.php?t=35978&highlight=travis

Proof he likes mud.
Exhibit 3......And please see this post.

So i'm afraid that a jury would convict Travis. :P

lol! Too funny. This is why i am afraid to have a pond. If I put one in.. I KNOW Tasha would be in it all the time. And also if I put one in.. I'd have fish in it... and.. well.. Tasha would find that a tasty snack...Just look at that evil grin! lol

Oh my goodness, Amber. That Tasha is such a beautiful furkid!! And looks just as innocent as can be.
And as for Travis.....well...he may not look innocent...on the contrary...he's as ornery looking as he can be, but still as cute as he can be.
I sure don't have any advice for you. I agree.....when the boys want out, they find a way. I use to have a dog that managed to scale a fence, so we ended up having to put a 6 ft high fence up to keep him in. They are smart and inventive when the situation calls for it. :D

Hmmmmmm... I might enjoy being a member of the trial jury on this one! Could be great time!

All I can say, is one day he's gonna slow down. Might be 20+ years, but he will slow down :D

  Debbie. You may need to advise your client to plead the fifth! I think Annie has all the evidence she needs

Amber, Tasha is beautiful! Is she a Malamute? (I know I spelled that wrong  )

Ha! Joan, you are right. After looking at those photos, Travis looks like he knows exactly what he's doing. No innocent face there!
