Chewie Lou

Post by Garden_of_Mu »

The hairy old thing followed me about the garden rolling in the dirt and sand, wanting to be scritched as she rolls about. So of course I had to take her photo. And of course I had to post them here. :)

Mike, your kitty is very pretty with the calendula and even by herself. Cats and dirt, they are drawn to it, aren't they? Dogs seem to prefer grass and ... other things ... to roll in. It must have to do with either masking scent or just driving their parents crazy. Chewie Lou, you are in good company. My cats seem to go from black to gray in the spring and summer.

I love the kitty pictures! Wish I had a walled-in area sometimes, so that I could take a kitty into the garden. Then I think about fleas and I change my mind. I love your pictures!

Oooh...what a beautiful fuzzy kitty!! And very photogenic also! :)
Andi...I have two cats that love butt scratches. One will stick his butt up in the air and drop his front down on the floor and after a bit of scratching falls over on his side in ectascy! The other one makes this funny noise while getting her butt scratched and then she nibbles & licks on things (like your clothes). Always makes me laugh when she does that. Cats are so funny.

RCPeg - Gracie is doing qute well. She's put on alot of weight and her little cheeks are all chubby again. She is kinda silly looking now with her belly shaved (bad matting), but it is starting to grow back in. I have never seen a cat get so much crap stuck in their fur and have it all twisted up into knots in no time. Her coat is like velcro - everything sticks to it. I never have a problem with the other two (with the exception of the occasional baby slug), but Gracie is going to be a grooming nightmare. She'll have to be a housecat for most fo the summer so maybe we can get a little break then.

Mike, I'm so glad to hear that Gracie is gaining some weight! :D About the fur, I owned a rescue Persian for a while and he had that long, fine coat. He would not clean himself and no matter what I did his fur was always matted somewhere! I ended up having to shave him once a year. :(
