Garlic for Dogs

Post by hostaanita »

Here's a tip if you're having trouble getting your dog to eat his recommended food..sprinkle a little garlic powder on it ( just a little). This was recommended by the vet ,,,my little dog Buddy is recovering from stones in his bladder and is on a stict diet....which he hated . Well the garlic makes a big difference . I just thought I'd share my discovery.

Wow, never knew that.....I used to give out Irish Setter garlic pills to keep the flees off.....that was years ago....but you have to do it every day and don't miss....That's what I was told way back then.....I used to get them at the health food store....they were for dogs, too, not the human garlic....

    Hey Bro....does that really work?

    Thanks, Anita!

I've heard opinions both ways on the garlic for fleas. I've never tried it myself. Garlic every day! Yer house is gonna smell good like old Mrs. Capizzie's.

I didn't know that about dogs, but I know that garlic is toxic to cats, so I don't give it to our dog, just in case.

I have heard about it for fleas too. Never tried it though.
I think both of my dogs will eat anything LOL!
Never knew it was toxic to cat though

My dogs have all loved garlic. I have given it to all of them
for the past 23 yrs. I just sprinkle a little garlic powder on
every meal. I dont even mind the garlic "kisses" I get afterwards.
