years ago, and ran inside without me seeing him-
I was sure I had a skunk in the house, and wound up
leaving all the doors open while I went to work!!
I groom dogs and have used all of the old recipes,
tomato juice, lemon, and all the commercial ones.
nothing works like this one, it was supposedly developed
by a chemist whose dog had been skunked!
I have used this many times, and it obliterates the smell
in just one bath.

mix well:
1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide (make sure its 3%)
1/4 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon liquid soap(dawn works well)
saturate animal in this mixture- (you can put mineral oil
drops in eyes to protect them if animal is sprayed on head.)
let soak for 5 minutes
Followed by tap water rinse- (rinse very well)
its much cheaper than any commercial de-skunker, too!
I was getting ready to start a separate post about this, too, since the smell is driving us nuts...
I thought maybe he fell out of a tree or something, but he seemed fine and didn't even seem to care 
Then he darted off after his prey again - which is when I realized he was chasing bees! I was going to go to the store to get some pediatric benadryl for the swelling but after about 10 minutes I could start to see his eye again and about an hour later the swelling was gone. It didn't seem to phase him in the least
