Was over to my sister's house and took a couple of pics of her pet spider. It is cool. Kinda freaked me out cause it kept trying to touch the camera.

Another one....
My sister just moved back up here from KY. And she was showing me her pets, if ya can call them that LOL.
At first I didn't want to get that close to it but it is a very calm critter, just wanted to touch the lens with its lil feets :o

Very COOL!

My ex-BF had 4 tarantuals and I loved watching and holding them. They really are very calm most of the time.

The funniest thing was *he* was afraid to hold them, so when it came time to clean the vivariums, I had to pick them up and put them in a temporary holding tank while he cleaned the cricket balls. LOL!

(oops.. hit submit too soon)

Anyway, that is a lovely spider. Is it a Chilean Red? She looks like she has that lovely pinkish/red "fur".

Tell your sister good luck with her. They make great pets!

I think she is cool too! I love spiders. I never kill them, it drives my family nuts.

Neat. Thanks for sharing pictures. What a unique pet.

Shortly after I was divorced my exhusband gave my children a tarantula as a pet. I think there was a message in there but maybe not. It had pink toes and didn't live long and the pet store gave him a free replacement. (oh joy.) Eduardo lived much longer than Roseytoes and really was interesting to watch. I was never interested in holding him however. It's really cool when they shed their ex-skeleton!

I had pet tarantulas as a kid, one my dad found in the road-
(we have the Texas Cinnamons in this area sometimes),
a few from the pet store. I thought they were really interesting.
Looking at their large (faces?) with those little eyes on top,
I always had the feeling they were thinking.....
yeah, I was a weird kid...
