Hamster Potties!

Post by doublemom2 »

These are just the coolest things, wish someone had though this up when I had a hamster as a kid :)

See the little attachment to the right of the cage near the bottom? It attaches via a little tunnel and it works just like a cat's litter box. You put in this stuff that's kind of like cat litter, and the hamsters go potty in there instead of going all over the bedding in the cage. Unfortunately, our two hamsters only tinkle (scientific term, don't you know!) in there. But... that's the part that ends up really smelling bad when it absorbs into the bedding in the cage, so the "litter box" attachments are super easy to detach and clean out, instead of having to clean out all the bedding as often.

Oh, the thinks they can think up now days!

Thank you very much for the pic and explanation of this newfangled DE-vice! I'm not sure I completely understand... nope, I'm sure I completely to NOT understand, but at least I know what it looks like now.
Before criticizing someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them you will be a mile away and have their shoes!

How cool is that! Now if someone would come up with an outside puppy potty for these dogs that do their twice a day! UGH! I hate scouting out 2 acreas every day!

Still haven't figured out a freinds dog that only goes out in the grass to his business! Why didn't I figure that out before having these two join our family :(

Isn't that really neat?
I think hamsters like most other critters tend to pee in one spot mostly. But they would be in there all the time if they went to poo poo as they do that almost constantly

They are just to cute! I like lil hamsters.

Well I'll be. I had no idea hamsters were potty-trainable. Darn if that's not the cutest thing. I believe I'd like to have me a hamster. My Granny kept about four or five (I can't remember, she had a menagerie of animals.)

Thanks for showing it. Neat.
