The gang's all here

Post by Old earth dog »

Along with the new Presa pup I'm training for a club member. As you can probably tell by their wonderful expressions, the terriers are really not to pleased with this monster in their midst.
Pete wants to clean her clock. Polly doesn't want to give her the time of day. Thunder pretty much ignores most all dogs except a few other family dogs.

I hope you don't mind OED. Your pictures were a little dark and I wanted to see your pups better so I lightened up a little bit.

Your dogs are so cool! What a diverse bunch!

Oh wait I forgot you TRAIN dogs :D
If I tried that with my dogs Travis would be flying off that table! I love all your pups and your little trainee!

Can I say that are all just adorable ? I don't want to injure any male egos in that bunch. Love that pic of all of them sitting on the table. Wish I could get all my cats to do that for a pic.

Those are great pictures, OED.

That's a good one, Joan. My cats would just as soon box each other's ears and launch themselves away from the table as soon as we put them there.

:o You let your dogs up on the table?

They all look fantastic! Athena is a real cutie. :D

Thanks for lightening the pics, Pat. I couldn't even tell that Athena had her head up in the original pic. Turning the brightness on my monitor to the highest setting helps but it isn't as clear as your pics.

They are all such great looking dogs! Atehna's body shape (except for that big head) and coloring remind me of my boxer Copper.

Thanks for sharing OED!

Great pic OED! your boy Thunder is gorgeous. A GSD was my first
dog as a kid, she was an awesome dog.
A couple friends of mine here in NW Arkansas show Borders,
and another friend with Ibizan Hounds got a pup from one of them
to show, they are adorable little dogs, I have kennel
sat them a few times, and "babysat" a whelping. When the
puppies came in to the doggie daycare where I worked,
they were little spitfires. I can never get over the coarse coats,
I like a breed smoother to the touch!
Thus my Ridgebacks!
Of course, the other two are cute, also, dont want to leave them out!!

Thanks for all the comments folks!
A special thanks to Pat. Those dark pics were driving me crazy.
As for the table, that's a dual purpose, picnic/dog grooming table.
It
does get washed down regularly, but it sure helps in brushing, grinding nails, cleaning teeth, etc, when I don't have to bend over.
All my dogs get the full treatment of brushing/combing 3-4 times a week. Nail grinding once a week.
With Thunder, I swear that I can build another dog each and every time I brush and comb him. NEVER had a dog that sheds like him.
With all the house rehabing I'm doing with/for my brother, I'm not getting on as often as I want.
I'm gittin way to far past my prime for hard work.

 Bob, I was just kiddin' ya about the table.

What do you use to do nail grinding? Those nails just grow too fast! Jasmine won't let me clip but she might let me grind.

They look great now that Pat lightened them...

I use the back porch steps to do Gingers nails.... she stands on the top, and I am at the bottom....no bending... Never heard of nail grinding before.....is it something like fileing them?

You can use a rotary tool with a file on it.....like a Dremel to grind their nails. I bought one but havn't tried it yet.

I use a Dremel grinder with the small sanding drum. the stones clog up to easy and also can burn faster.
