New furbaby - Updated - Maggie

Post by PeggyC »

:P I don't have her yet but will pick her up tonight. A two year old long haired female cat. I'm SO excited!  I went at lunch today and picked up everything she needs and more. I think I might change her name to Shelby but will have to see her to make sure. Check back later for pics!

And here she is! My DD named her Maggie and I agree it fits her better than Shelley!

Yes, I did get her from a shelter. I wanted an older kitty that would hold its ground with our dog, Nikki, as Nikki can be a little aggressive. So far she's done that... We had a little spat this morning and when Nikki backed off about 10 feet, then Maggie stopped hissing and growling and she didn't chase after Nikki either so that's good. I think it will take a bit for them to get used to each other as both have a alpha female personality.

Ohh she is pretty Peg! Congrats :D

She will put the dog in its place real quick! They will be best buds before long hopefully.

What does she think of the horses?

Oh I'm so happy you got your kitty! And a very pretty one at that.

Looks like Maggie is already "queen" of the castle. So pretty, I'll sure she'll be the subject of many photographs.
