Maggie in the Garden

Post by PeggyC »

I swear she thinks she's a dog! She goes out with me to the hosta beds and follows me around. Spring has been good for her... she's taken off 7 pounds! :P

That is a fantastic photo! She's very photogenic :)

Our older Fuzz-Butt will come outside with me when I'm working in the yard, but she never gets much past the back door in case a loud car goes by, she's such a chicken LOL!

We're having an outdoor enclosure built so that our two boys Monkey and Jet can be outside, but enclosed so they can't escape. I have no doubt that they could both clear the fence in less than two seconds and be gone forever!

What a beautiful pic! It's nice to have some company when you're working outside, isn't it? One of our outdoor cats likes to "help" with the yard work. She's always around when I'm weeding and planting and she goes next door and "helps" my neighbor when he's working in his veggie garden.

She is beautiful Peg. She was a shelter kitty wasn't she? My fat cat DeeDee, was a shelter cat and she is the best we have ever had, even better than my ragdoll. Ours is a med. hair length calico. She used to go out with me all the time at the last home we had. She would stay right with me in the hosta garden. I don't let her out here, it is more foresty and I'm afraid she will just get too distracted and wander away. She does go out with me if I can watch/follow her about, but not for long periods of time.

She is a pretty girl! I usually loose a few pounds in the spring and summer too, then gain it back every winter!
Keep her moving

What a regal queen!! She certainly looks like she's in control of her kingdom! Beautiful cat!

My Taffy used to love to follow me around the Garden. Now I have Ozzie who does the same thing. I love it! :)

She definitely looks as one who deserves 'subjects' to take care of her needs. Regal pose! :D

What a gorgeous kitty! I love that her M mark is two different colors. Neat touch. Excellent photo.

Beautiful kitty and photo! How much did she weigh that she lost 7 lbs?! wow!

That reminds me of the time my mother won the Humane Society "fattest cat" contest. lol! Choo-choo had been abandoned by his owner, so my mother took him in. I think he started eating too much because he was afraid he'd never eat again. The contest scale didn't go high enough so they had to borrow another. He weighed in at 32 lbs, and had a 26" waist.

Very nice looking girl! Love those green eyes...and her markings are very pretty! :D

I have one that will also follow me out and 'help' with the weeding and watering. I think she is checking up on her 'space' though. she tends to lay about in the garden a lot for the coolness of the dirt and for some shade. She likes to pretend that she is an outdoor kitty...shes a real marshmallow though.
