Cats in the workplace...

Post by doublemom2 »

After having Jet for almost two years, Silver-FuzzButt has FINALLY allowed him to come into our home office. I've had two cat beds on my desk for two years now for Fuzzy and Monkey, but Jet let Monkey know that the corner cat bed was now HIS and kicked Monkey out. Sooooo... I had to go buy another cat bed today for my office.

This is how I do my transcription every day, surrounded by my fur-babies. I wouldn't want it any other way !!!! Monkey is thrilled with his new digs...

Holy crap, that looks like my office! Three beds in my office, too, but with 4 cats means someone has to share.

Those pics are so adorable! Much better to have them laying in beds , than on your lap....or your keyboard.

With lots of cats you need lots of sleeping places. I don't have any of those small soft beds for them though... they have multiple basket beds (I just made them another, and line them with soft blankets), a tiered scratching post/play thing with a padded "bed" on top, the rocker, the sofa, and of course the duvet-covered beds.

They also have a special shelf in the computer room: I took wide pine shelving, padded it and covered it with fleece fabric, and mounted it just beneath the windowsill. They can pile up and sleep, or just look out the window. :D

Really great pics, everyone! :D

Andi, I can see that while Fuzzbutt may have made a concession, she is sure keeping an eye on Jet!

I don't know, Andi. Fuzz-butt still looks a little unsure of the whole situation! Look how she is staring them down.  Poor Silver kitty.

Oh... she is still her usual feisty little princess, that will never change. It's just funny that it's taken her two years to let Jet come even close to our office, since that's HER main sleeping spot.

And who.... me? Spoil my fur-kids? Nah... never!!!!!

Your gonna have to get a bigger desk :o

My kitties just sleep on my bed, in my chair, on my table, in the window sill, pretty much anywhere except the kitchen counters, that is a big no no :D

My desktop is right next to my bed so I lay there with the mouse on the bed and the cat draped over my mouse arm. Sucks when I have to reach for the keyboard! Sometimes she clicks things I don't want and she watches the arrow go everywhere on the screen.

LMBO.........gee I feel so guilty after seeing your comfy spots u have for your kitties. Poor Wilbur sleeps on the floor by the computer. He is allowed on the couch .....and the bed if he promises not to play mouse tag while Mommy is trying to sleep.......

Chris I love your pic of your two buddies sharing...too cute!
