My sad story

Post by Barefoot Gardener »

My five year old tabby is named Blink.
Here is her picture on Thanksgiving time.
On December 17 we woke to find her completely paralized.
She died later that morning. :( :( :( :(
This after numerous of vists to the vet in the past two months because of high fever.
Now they tell me she had cancer.
Please don't settle for the vet telling you I don't know let's wait and see.
Maybe if I had been more pushy my baby would not have had to suffer her final hours.
Hmmm I see that her picture did not attach. I will try that again later.

So sorry to hear that! It's such a horrible, empty feeling and it's hard to understand how much pets fill our lives until they're not with us any more. I've been through a couple of vets lately for my Fuzzy and her arthritis, and I'm still not happy with either that we've seen so far. Hang in there, and know that Blink will always be in your hearts, always....

Sorry to hear about your kitty :( Sometimes my vet says the same thing, but then when I ask him more questions he gives me more options, though I can't really afford much more than the wait and see approach most times...

Again, I'm sorry about your loss.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Yes our fur babies are just that, our babies. My best friend recieved a cup for Christmas that had on it. Heaven is where our pets are waiting for us. and I sure have some wonderful ones waiting on me.

How sad. You also have my sympathy for your loss. I know how much I love my furkids and I can tell you feel the same. Always remember the good times with Blink and try not to think too much about the 'what ifs'. You may not have been able to change the outcome even if you had known she had cancer. Blink was able to pass away in familiar surroundings ...the comfort of her own home....knowing her family was near. (((Barefoot Gardener)))

Thank you all for your comforting words.
It has been 15 days since Blink has died. The house is very quite.
As you all know - just because your head knows something doesn't necessary mean your heart follows.
With the begining of the NEW YEAR I look forward to happier times and hope that my gardeing desire comes back.
Blink was my gardening buddy and right now I just can't imagine being out there without her.

I tried again to insert her picture but my file was too big.

Thanks

I'm sorry for your loss too. I haven't had a pet in years, but sometimes still think of my ones from childhood.

So sorry for your loss! 11 years old was too early to loose my cat, Spider; loosing your friend at 5 years would be much harder. :( It's been 3 years and I still go over "what ifs", it does me no good to do that, but it happens.

Hugs to you.
