Wilma's poor paw

Post by Annie »

Well she was doing good for a while. Was even putting her foot down and putting some weight on it. But it's swelling back up and she won't even touch the ground with it now :(
So I'm taking her back to the vet again this Friday. Even when she lays down she is holding it up against her body.

She seems to be acting OK other than holding her paw up. She does seem thinner to me, but I can't really tell.

Good luck to you both! (Maybe better to take the leg than to lose the life???)

Not really.
I took her in, but it's still swollen. I still owe the Vet about $500 and I can't afford to do anymore for her.
The only thing I could afford for them to do is put her to sleep. But I'm afraid I'm going to have to.

I can't even THINK about it right now.

Linda we trust your decision in this matter and we know it is the hardest decision you will ever have to make.
ON the other hand, maybe it is just the infection that is swelling the paw and maybe it will get better. We can only hope.
