**WARNING-TARANTULA MOLTING PICS**

Post by Muffy »

I took these pics of my tarantula, Charlotte after her molt. I wanted to get it on video but she done it over night. I have had her about 8 years now. She was little when I got her...now she's quite a big girl.
Here she is after her molt.

Too cool! Is Charlotte a Pink Toe?

My ex-BF had tarantulas and they were such fascinating creatures. I particularly loved his Mexican Red Knee (named "Chili" for some reason LOL!) and she used to love to be petted. Who knew tarantuals had personalities!

That is awesome! I wonder if she was itchy since she had all that hair on her new skin while she was in her old skin.
Thanks for posting. Not something we get to see very often.

Oh my goodness, that is amazing, and yes... very cool! I'm not a big spider fan, but I love reptiles so I guess that's close, right?

All three of my Uromastyx lizards just finished shedding. They are miserable and itchy while it's going on, and look so good afterward. I need to check the babies' feet to make sure all the skin is off or else it can constrict their toes and cut off circulation. It's fun having to peel baby lizard toe skin off when they won't hold still LOL!.

Here's a pix of my Pooka shedding from last year, just to add to the "fun" quality of this post :)

And Gizmo last year when he was shedding, I don't have a pix of his most recent shed:

And Gizmo with nice bright skin post-shed, isn't he hunky????
