This is Rocky!

Post by fullofit »

A brand new puppy, 9 weeks at this time. I just love the unusual face markings. He is full of p*** and vinegar.
Personality plus already. My 10 year old boxer, Corky, passed 2 weeks ago. He was the light of my life.
But the house was just too quiet and lonely without him. Char

Rocky is adorable!! Boxers are such beautiful dogs. He will be so handsome when he grows up! :D

Am so sorry for you loss of Corky. We were shocked by how quiet the house is since Buddy passed away.

5 months old and such a perky, wonderful friend. He has finally learned how to get out by using the doggie door. That makes my job easier. I don't have to take him out to do his business. He just loves it outdoors.

Rocky's left ear was lopsided and flopped over his head, but has now corrected itself, so he is more symmetrical. Everything I read said that when they went through the teething process, the 'bent' ear usually went back to normal, and it did.
He is quite a prancer, and does some of the funniest moves. When the wind blows and the leaves are everywhere, so is he, chasing them.
He weighs 33 #, and weighed 8# at 4 weeks. He looks thin to me, but his legs are really long.

This holistic dog food store I go to has boxers.....more the workinglines, not show.....and he has this pretty little girl pup, that he is keeping, but if I really wanted her, he would sell her...but I like boys better..... ....I am not looking for another dog....well, maybe...... ......Your boy is adorable!!! There is a couple at the club and I love there sweetness......Thanks for sharing!!

Rocky is 5 months old and his lips will definitely get larger, but no drool at this time. Our last boxer did not drool either, but if he shook his head, he sometimes sprayed wetness. I would not ever call it a drool.

He is such an idiot because he is just a kid. But he is learning as he grows up. He is so willing to please, and since he is really into food, treats help with his training.

And always so happy to see us and other dogs. He really wants to play with the cat, who wants nothing to do with him. So it is a chase me, catch me, game.

OMG, he is getting cuter and cuter! Thanks Char for posting new pictures  He does not look too skinny to me, and he will start beefing up once he reaches maturity. He is a beautiful boy! Goosey, a boxer is a perfect big dog for you! They love all dogs, and will not be hateful to the little ones, and they are funny. Walker is just a big goofball!

I started looking on line locally for a training class. Alas, they all just started and I'll have to wait until the next class. You know how it is, once I've made up my mind, I want to do it NOW.

And boxers are so funny, goofy, loving, playful, and he really wants to please. I just love him.

Char, I thought I had posted on this thread back in August, but I don't see it.
I was sorry to hear about the loss of your old dog.
It looks like Rocky is filling that empty spot. He looks like a really great dog,
and I just love your pictures of him.

More Rocky coming at ya! His ears really are perky. I took him out for a walk this evening, and he has no manners. So I guess I have my job cut out for me.
We have enclosed a space out the back door, and he goes through the doggy door to get there. We have stopped putting down newspapers since he would rather go outdoors. But there are still the occasional accidents. Like if he can't get the doggy door open fast enough, sort of like a small child who waits too long.
