Wild and Lovely Purse.

Post by fullofit »

This purse was a gift for my daughter in law. She wears, carry's, and uses lots of stuff with bright colors. So when her birthday came around,
I made this purse/carrying bag for her. Very simple to make, and on top of that the material (a heavy canvas) was on sale. You can't beat that
for a deal. CHAR

What a fun purse. Your daughter in law is a lucky gal to have you make this for her. Looks like it would carry a lot of stuff and the way the bottom is, it won't be falling over spilling out the contents. Nice design and nice fabric. Thanks for sharing. I love to see what crafts others are doing.

Don't you love getting a deal on a great fabric?! I love the purse, looks nice and roomy, without looking like she's carrying a tote bag.

Completed projects feel great, don't they! I'm in the middle of running my sewing machine to death doing Christmas gifts. DH is a woodworker and usually makes gifts for each family within our extended family. For some reason :hmm: I volunteered to sew gifts this year instead . . . what was I thinking??? But it's been fun picking fabrics and projects for everyone! :snow:

That's a great carry-all! looks to be a perfect size/shape and like the handles are comfortable. Is it your own pattern?

No, its a pattern I found. I liked the looks of it, and since I look at every piece of fabric when I go to the fabric store, I finally found this piece. I think I would like to make purses, but I saw a vender at one of the craft shows, who had beautiful bags, but they wern't selling. My geographical area may not be the market for the handmade purse.

Nonetheless, I have fun making them. I'm also making a fun quilt and will post pics when I'm done. Its a turkey quilt. Really cute.
