Found out the name of the White Turks cap OC posted yesterday. It is actually a Tiger Lilium named Sweet Surrender. Got the name form a member on

ALL of them are good.....And your Black Jack looks just like this one I bought yesterday while getting pine bark nuggets......it's called Monte Negro Lily.....it is a Asiatic one....but it's very dark.....It caught my eye from a ways a way....

Species Lilium

Post by oldcoot »

This Lilium was planted outsided our sun room and staked early because it was getting tall This week had to double stake it. It is higher that OC's head. ALMOST couldn't reach up to take the picture. The name on the packing slip said:

LANCIFOLIUM (formerly Tigerinum ) Diploid

It has a lot of blooms. Have several other that have not yet bloomed, but have pods. We GOT a RAIN last night - THANK YOU LORD- maybe they will bloom too.....

Enjoy.....OC grinning with pride

Thd good Lord HAS been good to OC this summer

Post by oldcoot »

:D :D as he ALWAYS is. After OC's Iris were such a failure this year, he was really worried about his Liliums. But then Every time time it seem the heat would get them, the good Lord watered them for OC, and HE does a so much better job than OC does. Had a woderful rain, Friday night and again Sunday almost all day ...Liliums on the deck wih pods ready to open are now bursting at the seems. They haver turned really green and have grown taller with thicker stems. Thanks yoiu Lord for all your many blessings. OC being in an especially THANKFUL mood today.

Wonderful pics, OC. I have the citronella lily, have had it for 8 or 9 years or so. It comes back every year, though it does not increase like my asiatics do. I have the orange trumpet, too, and it's really hard to even describe the color of that one. Every pic I've seen of it shows it more orange than it really is. Thanks for sharing the bounty God has blessed you with.
