Peace Lily question PLEASE???

Post by wishiwere »

I have a friend who recently received 5 Peace Lily from the funeral of her dh. She's in zone 6 in Indiana (southern end) and wants to know if she can transplant these outside? Anyone have any information or sites I could share with her? I have no idea if they fall un Lilies or where I should even post about them?

HELP PLEASE?

Hi!

The only thing I can say to you is the latin name: Spathiphyllum. I google it but I don't find anything about his zone.

Even in our mild Northwest climate it is treated as a houseplant. The beauty is that it likes lower light situations.

Thanks Ladies. I did a google and sent her the sites as well as your thoughts. I do remember mom keeping some and having good luck with them indoors, so perhaps she can also. I appreciate your help! :)

Wondderful House plants

Do take regular watering to keep them full. OC had a pot full he had neglected and he thought they were dead. Put them on the deck when it warmed up and now are growing like crazy again. A little fertiziler every now and then helps too. Tell her to keep them inside in the winter. They don't like real cold weather.....OC
