Variegated Oriental Lily - UPDATE

Post by HostaDesigner »

Anyone heard of one? I found a streaked-foliage StarGazer at a local garden center today. It was the only variegated one out of the 4 or 5 in the pot.

I didn't know if this was pretty rare. I've never seen one before.

Well, it's a good thing I went around the garden shooting pics tonight. The variegated lily finally opened today, but some !@#$! animal broke it off right at the ground. I just stuck it back into the dirt for these pics.

It's in a vase in the house now, so at least I can enjoy it somewhat for the rest of it's bloom time. Hopefully it'll come up fine next year.

That is too cool!

I am sorry some critter broke it off too... hopefully it will spend the rest of the year concentrating on a great root system and reward you with a nice increase next year.

Very very cool plant.
