Post by kHT »

This one didn't bloom last year for some unknown reason but this year it's shot up, well the photos will tell you how high!

We tracked down the name, L. Blark Beauty. This was obtained at one of those garden shows and the nursery was from up in the Seattle area. A small grower and he said it wouldn't get to big??

 If they thought that was a small one, I would love to see what that think is tall!

It is pretty!

Karma, that doesn't look like Black Beauty to me at all. That looks more like a trumpet lily. Pink Perfection?

Thanks KellieD, I have the Pink Perfection in the smaller none trumpet ones and they are about 2 & 4 feet away.
All the trumpetor Lilies that are Pink Perfection I have seen don't have the deep yellow throats, they are just pink. I had to ask the gal that went with me as she got this one too. Hers is only half the size of ours and hers hasn't opened yet so we are waiting to see if they are the same.

Ginger, I agree! She is going to have to be moved as I have those pots hanging in the way.

Karma, I dont think it is Duckabush, either. Notice how yours is a down- and outfacing while Duckabush is upward facing.

Hey Kellie, the one bloom was down turned so I could get a photo. I also noted once they were pollinated they turned downward. The last blooms all stayed upward. We checked the friend's copy of the bill of sales. So ya think I should call it a NOID?

NOID with a strong leaning to Pink Perfection. Next year that could shoot up to 8 or 9 feet!
