A beautiful martagon-hybrid

Post by Ingrid »

I like Lilium martagon a lot and on a plantmarket some years ago I bought an exclusive hybrid. After two years I could enjoy the flowers and I want to show you this beauty. The flowers are not so curly as the common L. martagon but the colors are great.

The name is Lilium martagon 'Zvaigznu Värti'. It comes from a breeder in Latvia who was specially invited to the plantmarket. The sell their lilies on the internet too.

What a Joy to be back and see all the wonderful blooms..............I posted my Iris this sprng and the only Lily I had was 32 Lollipops that grew up together. I guess either the freeze 2 years ago, last summers draught when I could not water or those old tree rodents got them all. Will probably try again next Spring from Chris. They grow so well.......OC back in his Glory.............PRETTY BLOOMS
