Trillium rivale - Open Open Open...

Post by doublemom2 »

Waiting for this tinly little thing to open up. It's got to be the cutest little trillium I've ever seen. I paid $12 (yikes!) for one tiny little piece of it three years ago, and it's done great since.

That's one of my fingers on the top right of the picture, to give you a size comparison. This thing is TINY, but packs a lot of character into such a small plant, don'tcha think?

T. rivale is on my must get this year list.

Yours certainly has done well. Five buds counted in your pic.

I was at Andi's house a couple of days ago and that trillium has seven blossoms open. Way cool! 8-)
Hopefully she'll post a good picture of it before the flowers decline.

Sorry... I've been chained to my desk working for the past several days and have hardly gotten outside. Yep, it's open and gorgeous! I need to get out and take a picture of it, will do that tomorrow and post.
