Toadies (tricyrtis photos)

Post by doublemom2 »

I'm babysitting Kellie's tricyrtis (a.k.a. "Toadies") and they're coming into bloom... these are wonderful perennials to get you through autumn when everything else seems to be blooming out and going downhill. They look so exotic for such a hardy perennial.

Nice, are any of them variegated leaf? Ours have been in bloom for a while now and they are huge this year.

I have T. Lightning Strike, though it seems a few stems have reverted to solid green. The foliage is wonderful, but I don't see a single flower bud on it yet. I love Toadies!

I have one plant, Lightning Strikes, and no buds in Il yet either. I love the foliage on it, but the flowers are nothing special.
