The COOLEST ferns!

Post by doublemom2 »

I think I see another addiction right around the corner! (Please don't tell my husband!)

I never thought much of ferns until I really started looking at all the different colors, textures, varieties, etc. Several friends have given me different ones over the years, and of course I bought some that reached out and grabbed me at nurseries.

Too fun!

This is a dwarf maidenhair fern given to me by 101-year-old friend before she died... it gets 4-6" tall and is great in a container.

Dre's Dagger - this one has an amazing look of the fronds crossing over eachother, hard to describe and oh, so cool, in person!

This is a form of Blechnum penna-marina, a dwarf deer fern that is only about 2-3" tall.

I have always loved ferns. I wonder if any of those are hardy in zone 5?
