Collecting and Starting Tricyrtis Seed

Post by pauhaus »

Does anyone collect, store and start tricyrtis seed?

Any tips on when to collect, how to store, start seed?

Thanks. :P

you need to sow the seeds fresh, put them in a pot on top of the compost and cover them with a thin layer of perlite or grit, they do need the winter eliments to germinate them, so leave the pot where mother nature can do her stuff, but shelter from the hardest of the weather, under an evergreen bushy tree works, as long as they get wet and cold all winter, then shift them to the greenhouse when they show signs of growing.

you can do cuttings of them too, you need a node on the cutting tho.
What goes around, comes around!
So am I coming or going ?

We are doing the cutting route as we didn't find seeds this year, lots of bees but no seeds.
