Beautiful Shade Shade plants at Callaway....

Post by oldcoot »

Lots of shade plants everywhere you looked. In the atrium at the exposition center and out in the woods along the Azalea trails to the Butterfly house and Chapel.

Please enjoy these beautiful plants, expecially the Cyclamen...

Absolutely gorgeous - brings back wonderful memories of our visit there in 1994. Have got to get back there again.

I think the ‘unknown flowering shrub’ may be a kalmia (mountain laurel?)...I want some of those!

Keep the pictures coming, please?

I think Wanda's right. Kalmia was my thought, too.

Doris those Cyclamen pictures were made espewcially for you..

OC doesn't think he will ever forget that place either. The local "Y" has a senior citizens travel group called the Silver Foxx They tour all kinds of places every few months. Mosty are too long for OC to traedl too, likde Alaska, Japan, Greece. Last year if you remember OC went to Stowe's Btannical Gardens with this group. They were beautiful too, but they were pretty much out in the open . There WERE a lot of forrest areas here. The Year before we went to Swann Lake Iris gardens....

A group is leaving next week for the AMISH COUNTRY FOR 4 DAYS AND OC felt it would be just too much for him right now, as it is about a 9 Hrs each way....He IS agitating Joy, who is on the travel board, to line up anoither Spring tour for us nezxt yearf and maybe a Leaf tdour this fall..

Thanks for enjoying. OC.
