The maple woods up here in MI are loaded with American Ginseng. Since we have a similar makeup of woods at our home in MD I dug some Panax quinquefolium to try to introduce them into my woodland garden. It was a about 72 degrees when I dug them and I quickly potted them in potting mix but they started to brown up some. Has anyone had any success moving these plants? They were really crispy looking the next day but the loss of green seems to have halted and it holding steady with no additional loss.
