Red Flowered hosta?

Post by waldo »

Just wanted to post pictures of my best effort to date. Some of these were taken with my camera and some with my iPhone. I would have liked to have had a little darker red, but we work with what the Good Lord gives us. Maybe next year.

Impressive, and on such a young plant. What do you think the hosta will look like?

Hello Tigger, My guess is that the plant will be similar to H. War and Peace (J Moore NR) it has similar background, the leaves are just plain jane green. Ed McHugh has H. Dostoyevsky which is one of two of the great grandparents and has been posted on this forum https://www.perennialreference.com/foru ... ostoyevsky it will probably be similiar.
