Well here is a partial list and I will get the rest together when I can. We have apprx 200 daylilies, We have been working hard on getting those all tagged and named, at some point I will creat a holding bed for the nameless ones till they are identified. My Hosta list is incomplete and it is some of the earliest ones I got that I don't have on a list. It wasn't long ago I could construct the whole list from memory, I used to know how many bottles of Bourbon I had as well.
I am also collecting ornamental grasses and we have lots of rocks on the place here so they come into play as well. I posted about my rusting Cooperage equipment elsewhere. Enough of that, here's the list;

As I said elsewhere, we are getting the nametags in order on these. I have a few more than I thought we had, sadly there are about 25 to 50 without a nametag. The only saving grace, if you can call it that, is we have lists of most all that were brought in and about where they were planted( in 1 of 9 beds). That doesn't help when a cultivar has died completely and after bloom season, all bets are off til next year. I really don't plan to disturb any thing until we get remarkably close to finishing the naming. Lesson here, catalog and map everything, if you think you ever will need to know what it is. It works out to 276 with this list. I don't have a specific number in mind, but I do have room for 50 to 100 more without any new beds, actually when I finish the pond there will be a potential area for a couple hundred. Any way, I am trying to integrate it all into a garden and not just a plant collection.
A couple problems for me there,companion plants/monoculture,
I've been to numerous talks on this and all the nice little things to plant with daylilies. I have the astilbes, ferns,bugloss etc with my hostas, I have a few things in with the daylilies, but when the daylilies are in bloom, the best companion plant in my opinion is another Daylily. The same could be said for a hosta, there must be a reason we all got here, this might be it!

I count 243 daylilies (if I counted correctly). I can only imagine how beautiful blooming season is there.
