Now where'd you find that?

I completely forgot about that one! The one I was referring to contained my daylily list as well. Doesn't matter though; the daylily list was embarrassingly long. Who'd want to show the world just how bad a plant addiction can possibly be?

Hosta Wish List

Post by bengal »

We're apparently supposed to post our wish list for the secret trade. Oh dear....

I do actually have a hosta wish list, but I'm more than 100% certain that many (perhaps most) of the ones on it are brand new hostas or quite possibly not even available yet -- or ever. What can I say? I get pictures....I go ga-ga....I save them. What I don't do is actually Look. Anything. Up to find out about availability.

So please do not laugh at my list. Or do it quietly.

Let's just assume my wish list is to be used to give ideas about the general kinds of hostas I like.

American Masterpiece
Banana Boat
Barbara May
Black Beauty
Blue Jay
Brigadier
Chalk Wave
Childhood Fantasy
City Limits
Clovelly
Deluxe Edition
Dewed Steel
Dripping Lemon Custard
Earth Angel
Eliator
Elvis Was Here
Embroidery
Emerald Ruff Cut
Empress Wu
English Sunrise
Fair Maiden
Forest Edger
Forest Shadows
Fuschia Frenzy
Grand Canyon
Great Escape
Green Piecrust
Gumby
Hawkeye
Heart Broken
Kalamazoo
Lemon Ice
Light As Air
Manhattan
Midnight Oil
Moonlight
Mountain Mist
Parhelion
Pinky
Radiance
Raptor
Ribbon Dancer
Ringtail
Sailor's Warning
Samurai
Sea Bunny
Skylight
Smoke Signals
Snowcap
Spinning Wheel
Split Decision
Spring Fling
Stoneworks
Sun Kissed
True Blue
Unchained Melody
White Bikini
White Ceiling
Yellow Splash Rim

Maybe that list's a teensy bit long??? Are they all expensive and/or rare?  I guess it's not very helpful then, is it.... What can I say....I'm pretty new to this and therefore becoming quite crazed with hosta lust. :D

But that's good news because it means:

I like 'em all!

Bengal, This is the post that helped me get my link to my list.

viewtopic.php?t=45699

Don't worry about long lists, have you seen the ones with HUNDREDS? My wish list is far bigger than my abilities to maintain - I'll have to keep them in pots and remove them to the refrigerator every winter untill I get to a real state with 4 seasons (Massachussetts born and raised). I wish I had found Halstens back when I first got hostas (while in GA). I'd have potted up those plants and brought them with me - they are 5 years old now and must be gorgeous!

Don't sweat it so much. :) It's fun to be a collector.
Spider's Hosta List There are photos there too :)
