I wonder how many of you are watching a Striptease, as I am, waiting to see if it's going to eventually show signs of HVX. Mine looks very healthy, especially now in its "leap year" ... but it was purchased right about the time when so many of the Stripteases started turning up virused. What I find so difficult about HVX is that Dr. Lockhart says an infected plant can look perfectly normal for some time before eventually showing signs of the virus. He has said it's just not possible to identify every virused plant by looks alone. It's too bad they're not all immediately obvious, like that virused Gold Standard someone was selling on eBay! BTW, has anyone been in touch with management at eBay to find out what their policy is regarding the sale of diseased plants, and to educate them re: what is diseased and not just "unusual" ???

I'm watching my Striptease, however I recieved mine from the Montreal Botanical Gardens, it wasn't a baby, but a one eyed division from an older plant. I recieved it in spring 2001 I believe, perhaps spring 2000? I have to go back and check, it was the first year I joined the Quebec Hosta Society and the Botanical gardens which sponsors the group had donated quite a bit that year for Hosta Exchange day. I doubt that mine will develop anything, but I'm watching it anyway. I've also had my Blue Cadets for at least 5 or 6 years, they always come up looking good. I'm hoping I'm lucky and added all the cheaper ones early in my hosta addiction days..
