Is this HVX?

Post by caliloo »

Is this HVX on this Gold Standard? This is one I bought last year and it looked pretty good. It was then totally buried upside down, 12" deep by the phone company last winter.

Now, I'm not sure if it is virus or stress.... what do you think?

Hi,

I would let it leaf out some more and keep watching it. I don't see evidence of HVX in your pictures at all, but still be careful because of the variety. Hopefully it will recover and turn out okay though :)

Good luck!

Thanks Chris!

I was a little worried about the blue freckles.... I guess not all blue freckles mean HVX!

It isn't planted near anything I can replace easily, so even if it were to get infected I wouldn't be heartbroken.

I will certainly keep watching it!
