Virus questions

Hosta with the virus....will all leaves be damaged or spotted?? If new leaves appear will they look great and then change? or will they come out damaged?

Sometimes it can be just one bad leaf, sometimes just half the plant or even half a leaf. The new foliage sometimes looks fine and it tends to me more concentrated in the oldest foliage.
After a couple seasons the whole plant will usually look infected but it is also possible for the virus to go into remission and show one season really bad but not so bad the next.
