List of look a like hostas

Post by thy »

Do such list exist ?

Talked to a Dutch nurseryman the other day and he gave me a method to break the neck on nurseries selling HVX hostas :o
But I am a woman and prefere to be nice so, here is what I plan to do: Print out the photos from this forum and HL and keep a copy in the car including the "Infectedl List" of the special ones and the list of the way too often infected hostas.... but !!! and here are my question, do we have a list of hostas looking infected, but tested free of HVX. If such a list exist, I would like to have it with the other material.

MY HOPE IS TO DROP THE PAPERS IN EVERY NURSERY I AM GOING TO NEXT SUMMER... infected hostas or not. There is no way, I am going to acept a worried nursery man once more call the vendor coorporation and are told : "There do not exst such thing as infected hostas "

Anyone have better ideas or comments... please come on :D

Hi Pia,

The April issue of the German magazine Garten Praxis has a lengthy (and more or less correct) article on HVX. If you can find a copy that might help with those who have their heads buried in the sand.

Hallo together,

I tried to get the article from the magazin (word.doc.) but they have a copyright on it. I do have the printed version too, gonna x-ray it and send as a *.jpg with a PM. Just don't have the time right know in the middle of the season...
