My Problem Children

Post by rakenleafs »

I am going to load a few photos for you to look at. The Sum & Substance, no question it is HVX... I cannot tell on the Striptease, I don't see anything apparant, but??
Then the Love of Life.. I am really thinking this guy is just stressed.. I just purchased it at an auction, it was donated by a very large prominate Hosta grower, it moved around the states for about two weeks before the sale and then I went and planted in a spot that gets probably too much sun and next to a white wall, I never noticed how bad it glares untill I planted there.

I agree about the S&S having HVX, but not sure about the other. Can't wait to see what Chris has to say.

Hi,

Sorry I missed this earlier.

The first picture just looks like a nutrient problem.

The Sum and Substance is definitely infected.

And I can't tell on Striptease. Any chance of getting a closer picture? Or if you want you can email me a higher resolution image and I'll see if I can blow it up some more to get a closer look. However, if you bought Striptease in the past year or two and didn't pay too much for it, chances are it is infected...

Sorry :(

Thanks for the answer Chris, I knew you'd get to it sooner or later :)

Everything you said is exactly what I was thinking.
On the Striptease, yes I paid to little for it... It was just moments before I found this forum, but thought I would take my chances and let it grow, I bought the SS at the same nursery. I also bought a fire & Ice that day too, but it looks pretty good so far.

Fran
