Other Reasons for Odd Markings along Veins??

I have a dark colored host which has odd markings along the a number of veins on one leaf. Is there anything besides Hosta Virus X that could cause such a thing. Because this is a dark hosta, the markings are difficult to show up in a photograph, however there is no question that they are there. Any suggestions?

Cold damage, frost damage, sun damage, nutrient deficiency, overwatering, underwatering, spring burn... I've looked at a lot of leaves for people now and these come up again and again. Without a clear picture (or a leaf in hand) it would be impossible to know, but these are the other reasons for odd coloring.
