Virus on Striptease?

Post by Anette »

Hello. I´m new here and have tried to learn about the HVX. Can anyone tell me if my Striptease is infected, it has some green inside the white rim.

Also Color Glory has some marks, what do you think?

Welcome, Anette.

They both look o.k. to me. Striptease is so often sold as infected, though, that I would keep watch over it and use care if you want to move it in the garden. It usually shows the virus clearly, which your plant does not show.

Your Color Glory looks beautiful for growing so far north.

Thanks! You are helping me on this one too ;) I´d be sad to loose Striptease because it is one of my best plants right now. http://www.alltomtradgard.se/forum/albu ... G_0723.JPG
Other favourites are Sum and Substance http://www.alltomtradgard.se/forum/albu ... G_0722.JPG and Guacamole http://www.alltomtradgard.se/forum/albu ... G_0724.JPG
We bought a house with a big garden, with a lot of 20-30 year old trees and bushes, so it´s perfect for hostas.

I think your hostas look gorgeous . I agree with David.......and would also advise you to keep an eye on the Striptease. Looks fine now, but since there have been so many sold and already infected it's just best to be very cautious.

OH! What's the little ruffled blue with a white trim on the right behind guac? That's pretty with it!

Your Striptease is an old lady.. perfect for me to look

If you have not bought from Darvin or in supermarkets or cheep bags until now, you are REALITIVY FREE FOR HVX

Last year I saw some in nurseries, this year I have seen al lot, but still most in markets... take care of the Danish Olsen and Olsen labels... plants made in Poland with no retrictions at all, this year I have seen a lot of HVX there

Enjoy

Jane, the one with an edge on the right of Guacamole is an newly planted Sagae.
And Pia, thanks for the warning. I don´t buy from Supermarkets.

Thanks Anette. It's so wavy compared to mine. I wonder what makes one more so than another. Love yours! :D
