I came across this while surfing for HVX tested, looks like there is now a 96 piece kit that can be ordered and test your own hostas for HVX. I couldn't find the cost of the 96 kit, but there is a toll free # listed. If the cost is right it might be really helpful for many of us with large collection.

I did a little more searching and found the price list for the kits. Beside the 96 kit $80. there are 500 kits for $225., 1000 kits for $380, and 500 kits for $1510. available all USA prices:

Thanks for sharing. I looked at the instructions and personally I think it is still easier to pay someone else for the testing since you will need other supplies, time, and expertise/training to do the test correctly.
The Univ. of Minnesota plant disease clinic charges $25 for the first sample and $7 for each additional, so that's still pretty economical if you are running a lot of tests. And they are at the forefront of testing so I really trust their results
