Please help identify infected Hostas!

Post by MVPMOM »

Hello, this site my first time posting! I am new to Hostas and would really like your help. I bought my Hosta before I knew anything about the HVX problem. I strongly suspect my Sum and Substance hosta has it. And now am concerned if my Gold Standard hosta may also have it. Can you please review my pictures and let me know if they indeed do have the Virus? Thank You!

I'm not the expert, but off-hand, I don't see anything to be overly concerned about.

The 2nd picture isn't terribly well-focused, neither is the 3rd one, so it's hard to pass comment. Having said that, I can see areas towards the back of the leaves in those shots that I would like to see in better focus and in closer view. I think I can see some lighter areas, that could be a sign of sporting or infection, a closer look will give a better idea.
