Yes, no seedpods the blooms just dry up and more come on.

Editing to add a photo of her this am, she looses a lot of her pink in the winter months.

Nope I just leave her alone and if I notice a spent flower I'll then remove. She doesn't set seeds as I have yet to note a bee by her. I have other flowering plants they love close by but this one is so strange. Need to trim the blue grass as it's starting to reach over to her. She also stays small for all the blooming she is doing.

This one is one of our crosses. We have several we have gotten from local nursery folks, they have no names. One we call spot and another we call pinky were the ones we crossed
for this one. We have buds on a lot of the crosses coming up. We have to move a few from where I dumped the seeds. I tossed some seeds that were a year old out and to my surprise they sprouted! Hellebores is becoming a favorite plant here for DH so all seeds are saved. I'm seriously thinking of adding these to the back hosta beds.

It's amazing how prolific they can be once they are established, isn't it? And it sure is fun to see what comes up, even from the open pollinated seeds which is all we have but I'm always surprised when many of the OP seedlings turn out prettier than any of the parents around them :D

Chris, I'm really enjoying all the ones we have. I am surprised as I heard that they only sprout if they are fresh seeds. I tossed some of our first year seeds out 2 years ago when I found them, one of those put them in a safe place stories. I just tossed them out due to someone saying they needed to be fresh. I think they were over a year old by the time they were found. Low and behold last year I found several had spouted. So knowing it takes a year for they to establish I found the first of them starting to bloom a couple weeks ago. I grabbed a couple to pot up and to my surprise they are opening nicely. I also was out taking photos of some that are in bud, I currently have 6 beds of them and see the newest bed starting to bud, those were seeds from a hybridizer from Europe.

The 4th of July one that the post is about. Has new buds coming up from the soil, while still blooming from the fall.
