A big speckled white

Post by Tigger »

Snapped an iPhone pic of this one today. It was selected from a benchful of singles (I don't remember the strain) sold at Winterthur last year, as one with a particularly large bloom. This year it's blooming nicely, and the blooms are easily 25% bigger than any others we have. Plus I love the color!

Very pretty!! I have been adding hellebors to the hosta bed for the past couple years. They are starting to look nice as the hostas pop
up between them. Thank you for sharing your big speckled white.

Excellent picture, even from the ground :)

It seems to me that when you have some spotted hybrids that trait seems to be fairly dominant. We had H. 'White Lady Spotted' growing with Pink Lady and a large number of the seedlings, growing undisturbed for several years, are now blooming with lots of great spotting.

The larger flower you have is a definite bonus.

Thanks for sharing!
