Heuchera Seedlings

Post by Hapygdnr »

My first time growing these from seed. Started on Jan 10, they are OP seeds from June Bride & Ebony & Ivory growing in my garden. I was surprised to see the golden leaves on these two babies. I do hope the color stays! Nobody else of the batch is showing much in the way of color except some rosy stems. Maybe as they get older (or maybe I'm too anxious ). Time will tell. Wishing winter was over...

That's one thing I've never tried from seed... but after seeing yours I'll have to collect seed this fall and try it too! They look great :)

My Heuchera seedlings went outside today. I'm thrilled with the way they are growing. Thanks to Phyllis, who told us how to do this.

Here is a pic of three of this year's heuchera crop that I think will eventually grow to be big, bushy and beautiful. Phyllis

Oh Phyllis, those are so pretty!! I need to take more pictures of the seeds I started of my own plant (I just took from one plant. I will have to look to see the name)....They are small to me, but have like about 4 leaves each, and they are looking like they are red/orange'ish in color.....I am really amazed.... :D

Thanks, Mary Ann....I is special to me! :D
