Is this a heuchera?

Post by tabarhodes »

I've been trying to identify this plant for awhile! It started coming up in the spring at our new house. I originally thought it was a geranium, then I was thinking it was a heuchera, but I am just not sure! It is about 12 inches tall, and 12 inches around. All the leaves are on their own seperate stem, and all stems emerge from the ground.

Most heuchs should bloom soon. H. villosa won't bloom until August, but this one pretty obviously is not one (villose = hairy).

I don't believe it is a Heuchera, from the leaves... Not so familiar with Geraniums...

My Heuchera are starting to flower now, the Tiarellas have been blooming for a couple weeks.

Please post again when it blooms!
