Heuchera are my second favorite after hosta. Most of mine are in containers. They do very well her in Wester North Carolina in pots. They do require well drained soil that is for sure!

More containers!

Hey Beth - what is the reddish one with the bright margin on the lower right? I MUST track one down since it is GORGEOUS and it needs to be living at my house too!

Also - I love the Ginger Ale in your other photo and the Pinot Gris has become a "must have". I stupidly passed one up theother day since it didn't look as exciting as yours. I guess I'm going back for it now!

I love the 'Gypsy Dancer.' So do huechera prefer sun or shade? My 'Plum Pudding' says full sun, but that scares me!

Mine is in a pot. so I move it around! :D IN Early spring it is in full sun, but the rest of the gardening season I move it around from week to week. Most of the dark ones do well in 4 or 5 hours of full sun.

Alexa, I think that the one you are talking about is a geraniam. ( Didi I spell that right?) It is Vancouver Centenial! Excuse the wrong spelling, I have been drinking bloody marys since it has been rainimg!

this is the heuchera "autum bride" - i think it loves it home - the black pot is a wash pot that belonged to alyce's great-grandmother -

I love my Ginger Ale!!

Is that red pot a shallow bowl pot? I've wondered about those for Heuchera and mini Hostas. Do you over winter them in it?

The Red pot is one of those V shaped bowls! It is about 18 inches high, deeper in the middle than the sides. I will take another photo of it later today & post it!

Do you overwinter them in pots? I have bought several but only 3 have done well in the ground.
I don't get it, my hostas in the same bed did good.

I told myself I wasn't buying any more but if I can grow them in pots, well here I go again.

What soil mixture do you use for your pots.
I just received some pitifully small plants, well, plugs, they appear to be......and I need to pot them up to have them survive.
Boy do we get spoiled by the customer service of Hallson's. I just wish Chris offered more heuchs.

Those are all gorgeous, Beth!! I'm a heuchera lover too. I just picked up a couple more the other day, but don't know where I'll plant them yet. :???:
